About the Land Restoration Fund
The Queensland Government’s Land Restoration Fund is expanding carbon farming in the state by supporting land-sector carbon projects that deliver additional environmental, socio-economic and First Nations co-benefits.
The LRF supports landholders, farmers and First Nations peoples to generate new, regular income streams through carbon farming projects whilst providing valuable co-benefits such as healthier waterways, increased habitat for threatened species, and more resilient landscapes.
The Land Restoration Fund invests exclusively in projects that maintain or create additional benefits beyond carbon abatement – like expanded habitat for threatened species and increased water quality for a healthier Great Barrier Reef.
The Land Restoration Fund has announced its third funding round open to applications with up to $50 million available for high-quality carbon farming projects and up to $10 million available per project.
Applications close Friday 2 June.
